It's very crucial to apply sun screen. If you do not apply sunscreen and you do burn, the process of your skin healing takes weeks, sometimes months to finally recover. The peeling process, the blotchy skin spots, the uncomfortable feeling, your skin is always hot to the touch and lastly, you can't sleep in the position that makes you comfortable (most of the time).
